What to do with oily skin with applying makeup?

I always wash my face and put on lotion before I apply makeup. About 2 or 3 hours later, my face gets really oily and I have to use oil blotting sheets. What to do with oily skin with applying makeup?
you said

1. You wash your face first. I'd say just make sure you cleaned it throughly or even better wash twice. make sure use cold water (to shrink the pore).

2. You will put on lotion. I'd prefer put on some toner to get skin ready and also shrink pore before I put on lotion. (if u already do, just make sure let skin to absorb toner completely, pat the toner until its dry). If you prefer not to use any toner make sure GENTLY massage lotion into your face until its completely absorbed.

3. Make sure go easy on amount of the makeup you are putting on (oh, try not use oil based make up base). Putting them on in thin, even layer and if you have, try to use the right make up tool.

Oil sheets is not bad idea. Just make sure your skin is in healthy condition and its not a bad thing that use oil sheet once a while when you need it.

good luckWhat to do with oily skin with applying makeup?
just wash ur face once in the morning n once at night. That will reduce ur oil on ur face.
i assume you are using a cleanser/toner/moisturizer regimen made for oily skin. make sure to look for products that are oil-free, non-acnegenic, and non-comedogenic. these are the foundation formulas i have tried and liked and lasted on my oily skin even through the hot florida summers...

mark powder buff foundation $8

avon perfect wear extralasting $10

revlon colorstay $12

clinique superfit $20

merle norman lasting $26

clarins truly matte $35

they all have pretty extensive color ranges, and can be found all over the US. the first is a powder, and the rest are liquids. you can always ';set'; a liquid foundation with powder, as well. also, make sure to blot away excess oil with oil-absorbing sheets like clean %26amp; clear $5.
Your skin naturally has oils in it so you dont need to put that much lotion on your face, As far as makeup goes i suggest asking for a certain type of foundation , bare minerals works wonderfully!! And it is healthyer for your skin.
Oil blotting papers work really good for during the day, but i'm telling you clearasil ultra is some good stuff! it works the best for my skin and i used to use like 3 blotting sheets when i was a teenager. i don't use a lotion on my face though, it'll only make your face more oily.
i wash my face three times day with proactive followed by a moisturizer to help with my oily skin. Then i just reapply makeup when im done.
Make sure your lotion is oil-free. Not sure what type of makeup you are using, but I find that mineral powder makeup works best. I have an oily Tzone and use an oil control powder, then my mineral foundation over that.

I use LA Minerals. Really good stuff. They have samples for like $1 and ship em free. Maybe you should try some.

First of all, what are you using to wash your face and what are you using to moisturize? Make sure you are using an oil-free, non-comodogenic cleanser and moisturizer, and go easy on the moisturizer in your T zone. Second of all, what kind of makeup are you using? If you are using a liquid foundation, maybe it's too thick and greasy for your skin. Can you use an oil free, non-comodogenic foundation for problem spots and use a powder foundation for the rest of your face?
