Hey ya'll! I have rich dark chocolate skin. I have an arsenal of products but my skin has changed after the birth of my daughter. Please help! What is the number one makeup for dark african american skin?
I would say fashion fair. you should look it up on the internet. also maybe try Iman - it's pricey though. Carole's daughter might have some makeup too. look it up on the net. What is the number one makeup for dark african american skin?
Ooh. I don't like Fashion Fair...for one their colors are too dark and ';clownish'; looking.
I would try some of the newer brands like Clinique.
But don't forget before makeup comes good skin care! You have to wash your face daily and moisturize. That's number 1!

How do you choose color makeup that suits with the skin tone of a person?
Heard there's colors that match to a skin tone that is for either a winter, autumn, summer, spring woman? How do you choose color makeup that suits with the skin tone of a person?
Most of the time it is the eye color that guides you the most.
The seasons come more with fabrics against the skin tone. How do you choose color makeup that suits with the skin tone of a person?
you can't choose by the seasons but to choose the right color for your skin tone test it on the tips of your fingers and if it blends right in its perfect
well there is no season woman, just what siuts her skin tone, and face. test foundation on teh clean base of ur jaw, ur jawline, and step out into daylight and see if it matches. If ur unsure, visit a make up/beauty consultant!!

What color makeup works best with olive skin?
I would like to know what shade would be best on me. I have brown hair and light brown eyes. Also is there any powders that are especially good at reducing/covering up oily skin? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. What color makeup works best with olive skin?
Use highlighting powder instead of bronzer which is better applied on pale skin... Keep your eyeliner and mascara dark as well. Unless you are going for a while colored look, mascara should always be black... With just a little bit applied right to the apples of your cheeks, you can create a very warm effect. What color makeup works best with olive skin?
what's the skin color ,if you color is yellow ,y need purple,
I think either a light pink or a light green would look good with olive skin. I don't really know of any powders that could cover up oily skin though.

Have you ever sworn off makeup due to skin problems?
Have you ever tried going for a period of time without using any makeup after reaching the end of your rope due to skin problems such as pimples, irritation, zits etc..?
Had soaps, cleansers and such not helped?Have you ever sworn off makeup due to skin problems?
I've never sworn off make-up altogether. I am too insecure for that! Try using a gentle cleanser for combination skin, followed by a toner/astringent, and make sure you use a good moisturizer! This usually clears up my skin problems. It's a pain to keep up with, and can take up more time than you may have in the mornings, but it's worth it. Also, you may want to try a different brand of make-up. Sometimes a certain kind does not react well with your skin.Have you ever sworn off makeup due to skin problems?
Yeap, Wet and Wild made my skin and lips very irritated. I had to stop using it and every thing else in order for my skin to heal-
yes it helps:) i just did it when i wasnt going anywhere special

When i apply my makeup my skin gets all dry and then i have to put lotion on-it.What should i use to stop it?
I use moisturizer under my foundation. That way it's hydrated throughout the whole dayWhen i apply my makeup my skin gets all dry and then i have to put lotion on-it.What should i use to stop it?
Moisturise in the morning and evening. Make sure you exfoliate once-twice a week to get rid of flaky skin.
Under foundation, you could try using a base or skin primer to make your skin smooth, make pores look smaller and it's easier to put make-up on over that.
Good luck, i know how annoying dry skin can be.When i apply my makeup my skin gets all dry and then i have to put lotion on-it.What should i use to stop it?
Put a fair amount of lotion on your face first. I recommend the Avon 'Rich Moisture' Cream... it's pretty cheap and works wonders. Or, if you can't reach Avon, get any Johnson and Johnson cream, and put it on your face and then apply the makeup. I have the same problem too, but it goes away if you put a lot of cream on first.
you should apply lotion every morning and night to keep your face from getting dry...maybe try using a new foundation if you think its ruining your skin

What makeup colors go with deep skin, copper brown hair, brown eyes and a coral dress for prom?
For Junior prom i'm wearing a coral dress wity studded straps. I don't usually wear makeup but I want to try it for prom. I use eyeshadow sometimes but want to also try lip color. I have now clue what colors would look good with my coral dress, skin tone, and hair. Please help me out! What makeup colors go with deep skin, copper brown hair, brown eyes and a coral dress for prom?
i'm happy to help! so okay, im going to do this step by step, with help from the mac website, www.maccosmetics.com, because they have pictures and descriptions of all of their products, so its easier for you to get an idea of the colors.
of course, you can always just use the actual cosmetics from mac.
so...
first of all, wash your face! itll clean out your pores, remove any extra oil, and leave you shining!
second, apply a foundation. i cant really name a color because idon't know the exact hue of your skin. so im leaving foundation up to you =)
second, eyes.
since its prom, you'll want to look gorgeous. try a simple smokey eye, but with a pop of gold.
first, line your eyes with a black kohl eyeliner, and smudge it with a q-tip. im a firm believer in kohl eyeliner because it looks gorgeous and smokey. i recommend annabelle's black kohl eyeliner.
next, take a gorgeous goldish eyeshadow and lightly dust you whole lid. i recommend something like mac's ';goldmine';
http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a>
then, take a darker, more brown-gold color and put in on the outer corner of your eyelid in a sideways v-shape, the point being on the outer extremity of your eyelid.
i recommend something along the lines of mac's ';romp';
http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a>
then, take a really dark brown color and dust it into the crease of your eyelid, something like mac's ';espresso';
then, take a smudge brush and gently blur the lines and, well, smudge it.
then, mascara, mascara, mascara. put 3 coats on top and two on the bottom for extra drama. i recommend covergirl's lashblast (in the orange tube) its enormous brush is sure to pump up the volume on your lashes.
next, your cheeks.
smile widely and apply a tiny bit of pink blush to the prominent apples of your cheeks, such as mac's ';dame';
then, if you want, take some bronzer and put in kust on top of your cheekbones, to accent them, and also just under your eyebrows, to make your eyes look larger.
then, lips. you dont want to go too dramataic, as that would contrast your dress and over dramatize your makeup since you already have a dramatic eye.
a simple, shiny gloss in a thin layer would do, such as mac's lipglass in ';lychee luxe';. your dress will pick out the coral in it and it will complete your look.
good luck being drop dead gorgeous on prom night! What makeup colors go with deep skin, copper brown hair, brown eyes and a coral dress for prom?
Dark skin looks best in bright, vivid colors. Dark skinned ladies can look amazing in deep purples, many of the jewel tones listed for medium skinned girls, and ultra-bright colors that other women can't pull off. If you want to go neutral, choose a deep neutral like chocolate brown, steel gray, or jet black.
Eyeshadow: Brown hair is flattered by gold, bronze, and earth tones,
You should also consider what goes with your personality and personal style. If you are a natural boho chick try earthy tones. Edgy, rocker girls look great in bold colors like black, gray, purple, green, or even pink. Glamorous girls should try gold, bronze, silver, chocolate brown, and other eye catching colors. Those of you who are very girly would look best with pastels or metallics. If you're a sporty girl try something that enhances your look in a natural way like beige, pale rose, or light brown. Also, consider where you are wearing your make-up. Aim to look professional at work or job interviews, girly on dates, sexy at parties, edgy at a rock concert, glamorous at a dance or formal event, and natural for the gym or school.
Eyeliner: brown eyes in black or green.
What color is coral?Id go with a deep red.I guess.

How can I make my skin look healthy WITHOUT makeup?
My dad just told me the other day that my face looked unhealthy. I exfoliate and moisturize regularly. I'm well aware of the wonders makeup can work, but I'd like to look healthy without it. Any tips on how to get a gorgeous glow? How can I make my skin look healthy WITHOUT makeup?
Eat healthy and fresh foods. No junk food or processed foods. Drink 8 glasses of water EVERYDAY. Go outside and play for a couple of hours, the sun will do good for your skin. Drink water. Exfoliate twice a week no more unless you have sensitive skin, once a week. DRINK WATER! Regular exercise is good for your skin. Don't stress out a lot, it's summer have some fun. DRINK WATER get off your seat right now and get a big glass of water. How can I make my skin look healthy WITHOUT makeup?
I use The Wave by Neutrogena and moisturizer also by Neutrogena. It works wonders for my skin. You probably are not drinking as much water as you should, at least 8 cups a day. There is a reason why they told you to drink water in health class.
1 EAT HEALTHY 2 DRINK 8 GLASSES OF WATER A DAY
i think you'll be good if you do those
Ignore your dad.
Like he knows anything about facial health.
lol well, for one, try to ignore your dad. use your own opinion: does it look healthy?
But besides that, keys to great skin goes SO much further than cosmetics.
Eating healthy, avoiding fatty foods, drinking lots of water - Those three things will do WONDERS for your skin. If I don't do these things, my skin suffers (my skin gets oily, i get pimples and etc).
There are five nutrients ( more, but these are the top 5) that do wonders for your skin, they are zinc, silica, omega 3s (fatty acids), selenium, vitamins e,a, and c. So some foods that you can eat to get all these nutrients:
Zinc: pumpkin seeds, ginger, pecans, brazil nuts, oatmeal, oysters and eggs.
Silica: leeks, green beans, strawberries, cucumber, mango, celery, asparagus and rhubarb ...mmm rhubarb.
Omega 3 fatty acids: is basically fish oil. you can get this in (obviously) most fish, or you can buy it in pill or liquid form at a pharmacy
selenium: wheat germ, salmon and tuna, garlic, brown rice, and whole-wheat bread, eggs, and brazil nuts (which i am told is the best source)
Vita. a, e, and c: All in different foods. peaches, strawberries, sunflower seeds, asparagus, oranges etc.
My best suggestion would be to take a multivitamin and get an omega3 capsule for your oil - something like cod Liver oil capsuls.
Try to avoid alot of sunlight, if you want a nice tan you still have to be protected. Try a low spf sunscreen. it helps you get a nice glow, but keeps your skin protected and moisturized. Avoid using alot of makeup as well, try not to use many facial cleansers or creams which could be harmful too.
Also, if you use sponges or pads to apply any make up, make sure to throw them out after one or two uses, they tend to store up oils from your skin.
whew. thats alot of typing. ! Those tips should help you tremendously! They worked wonders for me:) Good luck!
I love the natural glow I can achieve using the natural rainforest based products of Lluvia.
I've never had many good things to say about cosmetics and skin care products, because if you want to be honest about it, probably 98 percent of the skin care products on the market are complete garbage. They do nothing whatsoever to beautify your skin, and, in fact, most of them actually harm your health, because they contain artificial fragrances composed of cancer-causing chemicals. When you put this stuff on your skin, it gets absorbed into your bloodstream and causes liver damage, or even DNA damage. It is a direct promoter of cancer. In fact, according to federal law, nearly all bottles of perfume, deodorant, lotion, shampoo and skin care products are illegally labeled, because they contain cancer-causing ingredients, and yet they have no warnings on the labels whatsoever to alert consumers about those ingredients.
But now there's a new skincare product line from the Amazon Herb Company that is actually healthy. It actually contains only helpful ingredients. None of those harmful ingredients found in most other skin care and cosmetic products are found in this line. The line is called Lluvia, and it's the first line of personal care products that I have been willing to stand up and talk about as being healthy. These products contain potent rain forest botanicals, but more importantly, they have no artificial fragrance, no fillers and no sodium laureth sulfate. They are not made with things like transmission fluid and brake fluid, which are the chemicals found in most other cosmetic products. This is an exceptional product line.
My strategy is to create healthy skin from the inside, through outstanding nutrition. I do this by eating raw foods and drinking raw food juices. If you ever want to see a bunch of people with a really vibrant, healthy glow in their skin, just go to a raw food group. Those who have been eating raw foods the longest will probably have the best skin.
But most of the world isn't going to convert to raw foods, so most people need external nutrition for their skin, and in that case, I think this Lluvia product line is the very best I've found yet. If you're going to put something on your skin, let it be this.
Lluvia has all the products you might expect in a skin care line: Cleanser, moisturizer, a deep penetrating oil that gives healthy oils to your skin tissues and a nice spray to spritz your face. In addition to these products, they have a camu C serum, which is loaded with camu fruit. As you may know, camu is very high in antioxidants and contains an extremely high level of vitamin C. If you put this serum on your skin, there's no question about it: These nutrients will be absorbed into the skin and provide external nutritional.

What kind of eye makeup looks good on light skin-blond hair-blue eyes?
I have very pale skin, light blue eyes, and light blond hair and I usually wear grey and blue clothes. I don't really like anything very dark (at least not for every day) or pastel colors.
I'd like to know what colors and combinations would look good on me, for an everyday look, or for something extra on a special occasion.
What do you think? What kind of eye makeup looks good on light skin-blond hair-blue eyes?
u can never go wrong with bronze, gold, silver,brown..peach..What kind of eye makeup looks good on light skin-blond hair-blue eyes?
I would have to say that you could use slightly darker colours than your natural skin colour. More importantly I would use a more natural approach like Mineral Makeup. My partner is a Makeup artist and she swears by mineral makeup.
hey!
so i would deffinately say that blue eyes and blond hair looks the best with black eyeliner, black mascara, and either a light brown eye shadow or gray sometimes looks good too
this site really helps...look at the opposite of what color your eyes are on the chart thing
http://www.bellasugar.com/14707

i think with the light skin and hair olivey greens and greys look good. if you get a really natural green it doesnt matter what color your outfit is.

the color juxt and zoom would look really great with a hint of brown...
uhm it depends on your clothes..
Use blues, Purples and browns :)

What is the best makeup for oily skin with large pores?
i have oily skin and large pores on my cheeks, ive been using bare minerals and that just brings out my pores more and never lasts on my face. Somehow i constantly have to re do my makeup because it never looks flawless and ends up looking cakey. what is a good liquid or powder for skin like this?..helppppWhat is the best makeup for oily skin with large pores?
You're definitely going to need a primer to smooth out your pores and absorb oil. I recommend:

Reviews of Perfector (not affiliated with Clinique)

For a foundation I would try a powder or foundation. You could go to a clinique counter and ask them to recommend something for you, or try Revlon Oily/Combo skin Foundation or a powder foundation like Palladio Wet to Dry (I believe).

First address the oily skin issue with their cleanser/toner. Like you I have oily skin, and I use their Pepino cleanser followed by their Savila toner. Wash with cleanser pat dry with clean towel, then apply toner and allow to air dry .
For foundation that stays on, I use their Savila base. If you have a cakey appearance that means you likely applied too much. Then I top it off with their Happy ending powder to set it in. I live in a humid and hot environment and this foundation stays on for hours. So I hope this helps.
before you put on any make up wash your face in COLD water this will close up the pores that are open from sweat, the apply some revlon colour stay foundation and if you find that you want a more matt look go for somthing like loreal minerals but make sure you wash off your make up at night and moistirise.
You should get St Helenes Mint Julep masque. It makes your pores smaller.

What is a good mineral makeup for dark, oily skin?
i'm southeast indian w/ dark brown and oily skin and i'm trying to cover up acne and acne scars. i don't get pimples anymore but i have bumps left over that haven't gone down yet. i keep hearing about mineral makeup and i wanted to try it. but seeing as how they're so expensive, i wanted to see which brand is best for my skin.
also, could you include places where i try them on before i buy them? b/c i usually have problems with finding the right shade. What is a good mineral makeup for dark, oily skin?
If you have colored or dark skin DO NOT use id bare minerals- they will be WAY too pink for your skin tones - try amazing cosmetics or pur minerals (I have been a makeup artist for almost four years and not once have the id matched with a darker toned person)What is a good mineral makeup for dark, oily skin?
There is this make up called Bare Essentials that makes an awesome powder. It's coverage is awesome. I still have a few acne scars from my teen years but this makeup does wonders in covering it up. I'm rather dark skinned too and I sucks looking for make up. You should also try Fashion Fair Cosmetics they sale at Dillards I believe. They have colors for all shades of Brown. I buy fashion fair eye make up and lip color.
http://www.bareminerals.com/
research it on eBay
you can buy samples of BareMinerals by ID to try it
bare minerals
it works really well.
you can find it at sephora.
it also helps clear up any skin blemishes, doesn't get stuck in creases and doesn't clog pores, so it is worth the price.
If you want what's best for your skin, no matter how expensive they are, just buy them. Don't buy the cheap stuff because it'll just irritate your skin more. Go to Bare Escentuals (http://www.bareescentuals.com/). I love their stuff cuz it looks so natural and feels light on your skin (not cakeky). Hope this helps.

Regarding Bare minerals, how do you know a makeup will match your skin tone if you buy over the internet?
I have a hard time matching my skin to makeup in a store with the color charts right in front of my face! I always get one too dark or too light and have to drag my butt back to the stupid store to exchange it, and 1/2 the time have someone tell me they don't take back opened makeup!
How do you buy a make up like Bare Minerals from the TV or net without trying it first???
A mistake could get expensive, right?Regarding Bare minerals, how do you know a makeup will match your skin tone if you buy over the internet?
You can also buy Bare Minerals at Sephora and Ulta, where you can see whether the shade's right. The employees there willl help you out.Regarding Bare minerals, how do you know a makeup will match your skin tone if you buy over the internet?
You can go into a Bare Essentuals store or to Sephora and try it out before you order it. Otherwise, just order it and if it doesn't match, send it back.
I don't trust ordering cosmetics online. It's so much easier in the long run if you can see how the actual product looks on your skin before you buy it. Go to a store and ask an employee to help you!

The nice thing about Bare Minerals is that you can blend shades together to customize your tone. When you buy the initial kit, it comes with two shades of foundation, a lighter one and a darker one.
Try puritycosmetics.co.uk. The colours are designed to blend with most skin tones so you only pick the one that matches your skin tone closest. You can do this from the description.
With bare minerals it should blend into your skin... even if it's a little to light or dark... it should blend in...

To be honest, MAC makeup isn't as good as all the hype makes it out to be. I suggest going to Macy's and looking at all of the different cosmetics counters to see what will work best for you because everyone has different skin. Often, these counters will give you free samples to try the products.
I also suggest using a foundation primer (again, check the makeup counters at Macy's to see what will work best for you) as well as an eyeshadow/eyelid primer.
If you're looking for drugstore makeup, I suggest the Revlon Colorstay foundation.
If you're interested in finding out more information on different makeup brands before you buy, try going to www.makeupalley.com, it's very helpful!
Ok..well if you have oily skin cream and liquid foundation is going to just slide offa your face!
I use LA Minerals Hollywood foundation and their oil control powder and my makeup looks good till I take it off at night;)

any makeup can have a lasting effect on your skin...you just need a good base for it. set your face before doing anything that will maintain your makeup to stay on longer through out the day, i suggest using a face primer and eye shadow primer.

How to make your skin more pale without makeup?
I want to know how to make your skin more plae with out makeup. I've heard of lemon juice but i don't know any others. And i was still wondering if lime juice works too? ThanksHow to make your skin more pale without makeup?
Alexa, excuse me Miss. I think I am perfect.
Pale skin is gorgeous, that is what I am attracted to as well. At least we won't look like leather when we get older.
Next time maybe you should rethink how you word things to people.
As for the question at hand, lots of sunblock applied everyday. How to make your skin more pale without makeup?
lemon juice. turmeric mask with milk is the very best EVER. you can also try bleach cream but its not that great. and of course a chemical peel is always good since it peels off the first layers of your skin. i just got one today and will see my new skin in 5 days. it takes awhile for it to peel and of course you look a mess during those first 3-4 days but it's worth it i think. but if you cant afford the peel i would DEF do the turmeric powder mixed with lemon and milk mask for a couple of weeks. GREAT stuff. i mean i wouldn't get a chemical if it wasn't for my crater scars (pitted ones) . the turmeric masks took care of my regular scars but my pits were all still there.
try revitol skin brightener cream. you can read a review about it here:
http://glamouredited.com/reviews/Does_Re鈥?/a>
i have freckles and wanted my face to be more pale and even toned and what i do is using sunblock lotion everyday and reapplying every two hours.
it is not gonna work instantly, but it protects your skin and gives you long term results :)
why the f**ck would you want to be pale? I am not saying I like tan skin because that is ugly to but being pale is also ugly.
stay outta the sun.
Why would you want to look more pale? darker, tan, skin is absolutely gorgeous!
dont go into the sun and when you do, wear globs of sunscreen

Any good COVERUP Makeup for my skin on face?
I got a bit of acne and its usually REDDD...
I have no idea why... pores are open usually..
Its disgusting...
I wanna try BareMinerals but not sure where or if i should buy em...
HELPPPP.Any good COVERUP Makeup for my skin on face?
Try using a green concealer, it'll cancel out the redness but use very sparingly or you'll look sea sick. As for bare minerals, I loved it when I used it but had to stop for a couple of reasons, 1) at the time my skin was too oily so it wouldn't last through the day and 2) where I was broken out and it was a little dry it would flake and look kind of bad, 3) it just didn't give me quite the amount of coverage I wanted. But, I did notice my skin getting a little better while I used it though, so that was nice.Any good COVERUP Makeup for my skin on face?

Is there anyway to keep super oily skin from ruining my makeup after an hour?
My skin is so oily and I wash it a minimum of twice a day. I also use a mattifyer under my foundation (non-oily). My makeup just starts to come off and my face looks gross. Is there anyway to keep super oily skin from ruining my makeup after an hour?
Try oil absorbing makeup and the little blotting sheets for your face. Be sure to blot the excess and not rub it all off.
You may also be washing your face too much. If all the oil is being removed from your skin multiple times a day your skin is going to make even more oil to compensate. Is there anyway to keep super oily skin from ruining my makeup after an hour?
i tht ur foundation must be able to aborb the oil..u can try biotherm foundation..before that i tht u shld use dainty lavender mask to control ur skin oil..use it twice per wk..u can buy it frm sg website at 88db which is cheaper than sasa..if not u can use blotthing tissue and press lightly..
this may sound stupid to you but try not wearing foundation for a day. maybe that is why your skin is so oily, because you use so many pore-clogging products?
Try using a compact powder over your foundation. These can also be used instead of foundation. I use Loreal Bare Naturale, it's soft and natural and easy to use for a touch up when you are out.

I have light brown skin, black hair and brown eyes. What makeup should I do for my eyes and lips? I like black eye makeup but I am not sure if that looks good on my skin tone. Thank you! What eye makeup would work for brown skin?

http://mere-minerals.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=27%26amp;products_id=63What eye makeup would work for brown skin?
for everyday wear, a pretty NATURAL look-
black eyeliner on TOP, just a little to define your eyes
other good colors are purple, brown, gold
use a shimmery, white eyeshadow under your eyes and over your entire lid to even out the skin - use it under your eyes to brighten them up
starting from about midway on you eyelid *a little further back*, work a pink eyeshadow (a darker pink, maybe two shades lighter than your lips) and smooth it over your lids, working toward your temple.
you can intensify the look by using brown eyeshadow instead of pink, dont use a lot of bright blue though, it looks too garrish on your skin tone.
other eyeshadow colors - a light lavender, very dark blue for a more smoky look, gold
this takes NO time at all - max of 3 minutes :]
i recommend ULTA's eyeshadow packs, i believe its a 4-combo color pack of the above mentioned eyeshadows
PS concentrate the area around your tear ducts just a LITTLE more to heighten the brightening up of your eyes
Use the color wheel -- brown eyes look best with blue or purple shadows. Of course, neutral colors are good on everyone, but a purple smoky eye looks especially nice on brown eyed girls. Check out youtube for some tutorials or go to a MAC counter (Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales...) for some tips.
for eyeliner you should use a brown instead of a black
for eyeshadow gold, purple, and brown colours are for people with tannish skin and brown eyes
for lips you should use a deep reddy colour with gold tints in it
eyeliner but now alot :P or it will look a tad slutty, umm for lips i would go for a dark pinkish kind of colour but not too sharp :). oh yeah and maybe some light colours for eye shadow :P like light blue or light pink somewhere around there would look good on you
id go for just a little black eyeliner, not too much, and if you want eye shadow maybe green or a shimmery pink. lips, i would probly do some sort of dark pink or purpleish pink
blak will do but make sure theres a light base color underneath so that the black color wont look that much, try earth tones like bronze, gold and brown...
have you tried golds, pinks and light browns? definitely try gold shades, they really compliment brown skin.
Deep eggplants, smokey purples, pinks, bronzes, and golds would look really good.

for everyday wear, a pretty NATURAL look-
black eyeliner on TOP, just a little to define your eyes
other good colors are purple, brown, gold
use a shimmery, white eyeshadow under your eyes and over your entire lid to even out the skin - use it under your eyes to brighten them up
starting from about midway on you eyelid *a little further back*, work a pink eyeshadow (a darker pink, maybe two shades lighter than your lips) and smooth it over your lids, working toward your temple.

What colors do u think matches my skin for summer makeup?
I have light tan and brownish, blackish, redish hair. What colors do u think matches my skin for summer makeup?
go with something that will highlight your face and compliment your hair and tan. maybe a brown eyeshadow, a little blush. i recommend something that is a pink shade but has a brown undertone to compliment your skin. and maybe a sheer, pinkish/brownish lip gloss.
but that's just me.What colors do u think matches my skin for summer makeup?
keep it neutral
Id go with neutral tones, and mabye a little black eyeliner. ( could also make cateye with liquid liner) try a more suttle, and natural look, go for bronzing shimmers for the eyes also. It will give your skin a nice glow. :)
Really focus on the lashes also. but dont clump :)
Hope this helps.
Goodluck!
natural colors like light browns %26amp; shimmer!
Light tan is not a good description of your skin color. Nor did you mention your eye color.
The best advice I can give with a lack of info s to go natural shades, like bronze and browns and sometimes white/silver looks good on tan skin.

Mascara and eyeliner---black
Eyeshadow---violet, brown, or gold
Lips---deep pink, or nude
Hope this helps!!!

Makeup?skin?is makeup really bad for your skin?plus need good facial tips?
i was just wondering is makeup full of chemicals that are bad for the skin?and my skin is greasy really greasy and i am getting more and more zits and pimples everyday can somebody tell me any good products for my face plus i want my face to be moisturized.ThanksMakeup?skin?is makeup really bad for your skin?plus need good facial tips?
Cheap make-up is bad for you skin, especially the liquids which can go rancid, and can be a breeding ground for bacteria. The best tyhing you can do right now is use a mineral make-up like Bare Minerals which will provide minerals and vitamins to nourish your skin without drying you out. The mineral veil will also help to absorb soem of the oil off your skin so you have a nice matte finish look. Good luck!Makeup?skin?is makeup really bad for your skin?plus need good facial tips?
If you need a soothing cleanser, try Cetaphil and see if you like it. I normally suggest daily exfoliant-type moisturizers, or ones that have salicylic acid in it, but it might irritate your skin. After you wash your face, use a witch hazel toner. Or I also like the tomato cleanser from Burt's Bees. Then try some light moisturizers from Kiehl's. They have a large selection and usually have good skincare. If your face is greasy, I don't know that I would pick something too moisturizing. I think the most important step in this is cleanse and use toner!! I love my toner.
One more tip...try drinking a couple cups of hot or cold green tea for at least two weeks and see if that changes anything for you.norton 360

Does undereye wrinkle treatment creams work if applied to skin with makeup on?
Does it penetrate through?Does undereye wrinkle treatment creams work if applied to skin with makeup on?
No, it won't work. You need to apply eye cream first and wait 30 sec to 2 mins (depends on the kind of cream that you use, if you use quick absorbing cream, it takes about 30 sec to 40 sec). Then you can put on moisturizer and make up and etc.
Recommended eye cream is Dior capture. You can get it from Sephora...it's a bit pricey. But it works. So good luck!Does undereye wrinkle treatment creams work if applied to skin with makeup on?
You should really apply your moisturizer or day cream first, then eye cream, then make up. Moisturizer first to deeply condition and hydrate your skin. Eye cream after so that you don't spread it around when applying moisturizer. Be sure to use your ring fingers when apply your eye cream as they apply the least amount of pressure. Start fromthe outer corner of your eye and dab inward. This will ensure that you don't pull or tug at the sensitive skin around your eyes. Also, use a good water based moisturizer and eye cream. This will ensure that they penetrate the dermis and give you the benefits that you're looking for.
I use, love, and recommend Arbonne's revolutionary NutriMinC Re9 anti-aging line, (hydrating wash, balancing toner, facial serum, transforming lift, corrective eye cream, day cr猫me, and night cr猫me). It is specifically formulated to reduce the affects of sun damage, decrease fine lines and wrinkles, while it works to combat the visual signs of aging. The system consists of botanically based products that contain natural collagens (hyaluronic acid), giving your skin a natural lift and others to deeply condition and hydrate your skin. They're all pure, safe, beneficial, hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, formulated without alcohol, wax, dyes, chemicals, fragrances, acetone, or mineral oil. They're unlike any others on the market with all 9 KEY anti-aging elements (KOJIC ACID, NANOSPHERES, COPPER, VITAMIN C, ALPHA %26amp; BETA HYDROXY ACIDS, PEPTIDES, BIO-HYDRIA, ELHIBIN %26amp; STIMUTEX, and ALPHA LIPOIC ACID), giving you maximum benefit. Their facial serum and eye cream contains kojic acids, which is a natural lightening agent and are perfect for sun spots, dark circles, puffiness, crows feet, and fine lines.
Their products are also formulated with nanosphere technology which makes them beneficial for all skin types and adjusts to your skins specific needs by applying more moisture in dry areas and less is oily areas. Research shows that 6 months continued use of this system will give a 68% decrease in DEEP density lines and wrinkles; however I started to notice results within a week or two. If you're interested in learning more, I'll be happy to help you.
It won't work as well. Apply it before you apply your makeup for the full effect.
I honestly think they don't work anyway whether over or under make-up. I have tried them all from the least expensive to the most expensive and cannot see a difference.

Makeup and skin questions for the ladies out there! <3?
can anybody answer any of these questions? that would be sweet, Thanks
1. how to apply eyeliner to make it look natural and not slutty
2. what foundation is good for your skin and also won't look trashy
3. what product from neutrigina* ( * spell that right ? ) works best to clean your face and get rid out achene?Makeup and skin questions for the ladies out there! %26lt;3?
For eyeliner, pull the top lid taut and start at the outer corner and work your way in. Keep the line thin and as close to the lashline as possible. This definitely promotes the natural look...
I don't know about ';healthy';, it doens't change my skin one way or another, but I love Dream Matte Mousse by Maybelline. It is by far the best foundation I've ever used, and it's only $9! It goes on smooth, feels weightless, evens out skin tones, lasts all day, and makes skin look healthy and glowing! I swear I look airbrushed when I wear the stuff!
For your skin, try Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Power-Cream Wash. It works really well for your needs.Makeup and skin questions for the ladies out there! %26lt;3?
Using the right techniques to get the look you want takes a bit of practice and will get you results you're trying to achive. For eyeliner, use a brown eyeliner which will look more natural on any skintone and apply it as close to the lashline on the waterline as possible because this will give the look of plush lashes and won't look like you're wearing any eyeliner at all. For foundation, it can all depend on how your skin will react to it because it your skin is oily and you use a foundation for normal skin, the foundation will smear on your and look unnatural. For me, the best foundations are available from L'oreal True Match and Revlon Colorstay because both accomodate the different types of skin type, such as for oily skin, combination, or normal skin. They also have the best range of colors to fit your skin color. I used to use the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash, but it seemed to stop working for me because my skin got used to it, so it didn't seem to work anymore. Give Phisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash a try because it is around the same price range and offers really great results if you suffer from a pimple here and there. Hope this helped!
okay eyeliner i would have to personally show you. i use a liquid eye liner so you do have to have alot of experience to use it but the pencil is way easier basicly practice makes perfect the more you apply eye liner the more youll be ';wow im good';
foundation? bare minerals is always good and they even have bare minerals powder in like covergirl and lorel and stuff too so you dont have to buy the expesive kind but i use ';too faced'' magic wand. i love that u can buy it from sephora
as for skin cleaners. ive never been the type to have bad skin. or acne i should say but i use a brand called ';peter thomas roth'; you can get that from sephora too. i love it i use it probably twice a week if your worried about acne never wash your face every day its good to have some of your natural oils in your skin. twice or 3 times a week is good no more than that.
hope i could help!
i cant answer 1 sorry lol but for number 2 i use bare minerals foundation and its not a liquid foundation as you can tell by the name lol its all minerals and they all different skin tone colors and i highly recommend it cause it works really well and it can give as little coverage as you need or as much coverage as you need, another great thing is a little go's along way so its definetly a good investment. Its pricey but well worth it and will last you awhile.http://www.bareminerals.com/on/demandwar鈥?/a>

Best makeup for chocolate skin ladies?
I am dark skinned and would like to find some good shades for the summer. What makeup line is the best for my skin (oily)? I looked at MAC, Sephora, and Mary Kay but didn't see anything good. Any suggestions?Best makeup for chocolate skin ladies?

Try Fashion Fair or Prescriptivs.
no makeup at all
In Bloomingdales or Macys, go to the chanel counter for foundation and powder, but for eye and lip color, MAC is the best bet for darker girls, the darker you are the brighter you makeup needs to be so you dont look washed out, try black liquid liner on your top lids, mascara, and a deep plum/marrooon color for your lipgloss, for blush, use a deep red. For night time, get the matching lipstick color for your lipgloss, and wear that, and add a shimmer deep purple eyeshadow, and black pencil liner on your bottom lids along with the liquid liner

Looking for a reasonably priced makeup primer for normal skin. Any reccomendations?
I don't have oily skin or fine lines and I use mineral foundation. I'm really looking for a primer to make my makeup last longer. Also, any thoughts on the necessity of primer would be helpful. Thank you in advance!Looking for a reasonably priced makeup primer for normal skin. Any reccomendations?
Prime time by bare escentuals, $21. It's a small bottle but you only need one pump for your whole face so it lasts forever. I don't quite see a face primer as ';necessary';, but I can see a difference when I use one vs. when I don't. It goes on smoother, lasts longer, and looks better.
I think an eye primer is necessary for using eyeshadow, for that I use Urban Decay Primer Potion, $15 for one, $25 for a duo. You get alot with that too (watch a youtube vid on sawing it oepn). It makes colors more vivid, I don't use as much, and there's no creasing or fading.Looking for a reasonably priced makeup primer for normal skin. Any reccomendations?
use monistat chafe relief powder gel, it's cheaper and works good at setting your makeup. I use bare minerals and it works to keep your skin shine free for hours. Report Abuse
My skin sounds about the same and i just started using Physicians Formula Mineral Foundation and it ususally stays on all day. Its the first one that i have tried that stays on. It might be worth a shot!
Rimmel just came out with a fabulous, long lasting, extra hold primer. It's about $6, and you can get it at any local drugstore. I just bought it, and trust me, I think it's going to be the next big thing. It doesn't clog pores, it holds your foundation/makeup in place, and it's lotion base is actually beneficial to your skin.
i would recommend nothing from drug stores or walmart
try mac

they are actually very reasonably priced comparing with their other equals in the line of makeup

Is the mineral type of makeup good for aging skin?
I am 68 and am looking for a better coverage for a foundation and have heard a lot about the bare minerals type of powder and wondered if I could get any feedback on it as well as where to buy?Is the mineral type of makeup good for aging skin?
I have been using an off-brand mineral makeup (';Jane';, at CVS) and I love it. I'm 45 and my skin has few wrinkles.
The coverage is fairly light - it's the brushes that really help you get more coverage. The denser brush you get, the more coverage you can get. YOu need to watch the application videos on the documercial or Bare Escentuals website.
But - if your skin is dry, you have to be able to plump it up with moisturizer. Liquid foundation tends to give a softer, more glowing finish. If I want more coverage and a softer look, I will put liquid on first, then go over with mineral. I do this because around my eyes the fine wrinkles show less that way.
You can buy Bare Escentuals online or at Ulta. Other places like Sephora are starting to carry it. But you don't have to start with the most expensive thing to just try it out. I like how the Jane works that I get from CVS - I got a good dense application brush to use with it - I open the container to get to the loose powder rather than use the applicator that comes with it.
In my view, it is really best for younger, smoother skin that only has uneven color issues - no wrinkles or scarring. Is the mineral type of makeup good for aging skin?
No, no no. I'm 20, have no wrinkles, and mineral makeup ages me about 10 years. It settles into the fine creases i get from smiling and talking, and acentuates it. Also, mineral makeup tends to have as bit of a sheen to it. Its not shimmery, but there is a bit of a glow to it, which really brings out wrinkles and imperfections as well.
It;s very heavy and cakey and unnatural looking, too. I'd steer clear, if I were you.

How can i achieve a pale skin color without makeup. One that lasts a long time
I don't know why i want to get paler skin, but i just do. I have light tan skin already, but i want to look a little lighter or paler. I may be dying my hair black, and i might try using a whitener, but are there any other methods. I already know the stay in from sun and wear dark clothes. I really need help thanks =]How can i achieve a pale skin color without makeup. One that lasts a long time
It depends on your heritage and the amount of melanin your skin produces. If your skin is naturally tan and has never been pale at any point, and if your skin which has never been exposed to sun is not already sort of pale, then you will not be able to achieve porcelain skin or ghostly white skin. Your best bet is to go for a subtle look: a treatment twice a day and use sunscreen, as well as avoiding the sun. I would recommend using The Body Shop's Moisture White serum, because it is fairly gentle. It won't really ';bleach'; the skin but it will make it more radiant and even-toned, thus an illusion of more pallid and clear skin. A more expensive alternative would be the Dior ';Snow'; line. How can i achieve a pale skin color without makeup. One that lasts a long time
theres nothing you can do to make your skin paler unless you use creams with chemicals, or foundation. Your only born with pale skin, sorry.
Why would you want to go pale anyway, most pale people try to get a tan, not the other way round. anyhoo, dying your hair black and wearing dark clothing will just make you look like a goth, or a wierdo... so choose makeup...
You should use only organic or facial scrubs that are for sentitive skin because you gotta do some thing that does not get you scared...

What are the steps in applying makeup for oily skin?
provide me simple steps for daily makeup at home after taking bath. like first cleansing, toner... which one to apply first?
which one to use in day time and night time/What are the steps in applying makeup for oily skin?
1. cleanser
2. toner
3. lotion with at least SPF 15
4. instead of using liquid foundation, use a powder foundation like Bare Minerals
5. then mineral veil just to finish it upWhat are the steps in applying makeup for oily skin?
you can get information about this in

little tip:
if you use foundation, go shade lighter, because, foundation on oily skin oxidates and turns darker with in 15 minutes!
wen u find out please let me know!!! :)
Buy a pH balanced cleanser. I use Cetaphil. It cleanses really well and won't hurt your eyes.
Then tone. It helps your pores close and look more refined. If your skin is very oily, use witchhazel.
Then moisturize. Even oily skin needs moisturizer to keep the wrinkles at bay. Clarins make excellent products for oily skin. Clinique also make a good moisturizer for oily skin.
Don't forget the neck area when going through these steps.
Use exfoliating facescrub once a week (not too coarse in texture) will also refine pores. Don't scrub too hard or it will make the oiliness worse.
Water based foundations are good for you. Loose, translucent face powder will help absorb excess oil.

Is it bad for you skin to wear makeup on a plane?
The plane is about 2 hours long.Is it bad for you skin to wear makeup on a plane?
No. Air pressure will not affect the ingredients in your makeup and whatever is on your face (including creams and moisturizers that go on before makeup). Is it bad for you skin to wear makeup on a plane?
uhh yeah i think its fine i mean we where it on the ground so why not in the air? ive never heard of that before!!
I guess you mean the humidity levels and air pressure. Yes, it can make skin a little icky, but on a short two hour flight, I don't think it would have much effect, as you won't be in the air for long enough. If it was, say, a six hour flight, then it might do damage to your skin; but, in all honesty, I can't see how it'll affect you for two hours :).
Have a nice holiday xxx
No. We eat food on planes, and it's subjected to the same air pressure changes.
Some people come up with the strangest theories.
i think it ok to wear makeup on a plane.
during the 2 hours, drink enough water is helpful.
no.. it's the same as in any other environment
it dose not have an affect just moisturize and drink lots of water
No, there are foundations that you can wear 24 hours so it has nothing to do with the duration or altitude-
i've never heard about this before! I can't see why wearing makeup on a plane is any different then wearing make up on land! Im sure you'll be fine.
the airplane has nothing to do with makeup
you should be okay with a two hour plane ride , but if its longer than that I would recommend putting your makeup on while you are still in the air , like just before you get to your destination , because the air on the plane dehydrates your skin
Yes it will blow up on your face.
Never heard of that one before..i dont think so..but you might want to wear light makeup on the plane or something?
nope its doesnt do anything :]
? are u kidding me?!
how is a plain any different than on the ground?
i find that my skin does go bad whilst on really long planes trips, only because i haven't washed my face in ages, but whats 2 hours going to do???
the makeup u use shouldn't b bad for ur skin in the first place
Make up is bad for your skin wherever you wear it.
Hello Georgia,
Some of the answers have been immature and not taking your answer seriously, so take no notice of those questions.
I'm guessing you mean, is it alright to wear make up on a plane? Talking about the air levels and such.
As you will on be on the plane for two hours I am sure it won't do any harm to wear make up, but keep it minimal if you decide to do so.
I would keep it to this:
Moisturiser-Tinted if you wear foundation usually.
Sun cream
Powder
Concealer
Mascara
Eyeshadow
Eye liner (if you wear it)
Lip balm/moisturizer
Keep it simple.
I hope this helps and have a good holiday,
Natalie x
P.s: Also, I wouldn't bother taking any make up really. I'm going on holiday and the only product Ill be taking is my lip balm.
I highly doubt it's bad for your skin, but if you are really concerned than keep it simple!
Mascara
Eyeshadow
Lip gloss
And maybe a tinted moisturizer or powder?
That's all you need, and if you're worried about your skin, it's better to keep it to the minimum so you aren't paranoid for hours (or even days or weeks) after the flight!
Hope this helps

I don't think so.
but maybe you should just not wear any makeup if your on the plane alone.
then your skin can have some time to breathe.

i think what they above me were trying to say was what the F does the plane have anything to do with your makeup?

What makeup would complement my skin tone and eyes?
Hello there! Im kinda in need of some help with my makeup. I have fair skin and blue eyes. I would like to know how I should do my makeup so it doesnt make my face looked washed out and so it brings out my blue eyes. I would like to bring more color to my skin since I am very fair, I use a little bit of bronzer powder all over but I dont know if theres a specific way to do it. Anything would help a TON! Thanks! What makeup would complement my skin tone and eyes?
try to use tined foundation........ go foe clinic.......... really nice and ends up not cakeyWhat makeup would complement my skin tone and eyes?
u go n consult a professional beautician they can help u
try to tone ur eyes..:) pink shades ..and pink blush..try not to be like barbies
The trick to making any color eyes stand out is by picking the color opposite of the color wheel.. So for blue eyes try a nice brown shade and your baby blues will pop! For some color, try some bronzer (lightly, mind you) on the apples of your cheeks and temples of your forehead or just skip with that and use a nice pink blue on the apples of your cheeks!
Hi,
I'm pale with blue eyes too. I find I don't need to wear much makeup to look good, but I like to wear a good black mascara and curl my lashes so my eyes really stand out. Apparently gold/bronze/peach eyeshadow is supposed to look good against blue eyes but i'm not the biggest eyeshadow fan so I rarely use it. A pretty light pink blush would warm up your complexion... try Benefit Dandelion (you can get it at Sephora.com). I use a peachy blush sometimes and that looks good.
For lips I stick to glosses because dark/heavy colors don't look good on me at all... light pinks are my favorites. Dior makes some good glosses. My hair is a golden brown with blond/gold streaks so that adds some color/contrast so you could also consider warming up your hair color if it's looking mousy or washed-out.
You can add colour to your face without using bronzer (all over colour sticks/gels are great for this) but if you do use bronzer, apply only on the areas that would naturally be tan. Use a kabuki brush and sweep bronzer on cheekbones, bridge of the nose, lightly on forehead and jawline.
Similarly, another way to add colour to your face is using a berry colour blush on the apples of your cheeks. This tends to create colour and a really pretty contrast on paler skin.
For makeup that doesn't wash you out, experiment with colours. Violets, bronze, pale golds, rich black, shimmery neutrals and lighter greens usually look good with blue eyes and fair skin. Lining just the upper lid, using a thickening mascara and dabbing shimmery white shadow on the inner corners of the eyes is a foolproof way to bring attention to the eyes without being overwhelming. For lips and cheeks, try berry and pink shades rather than corals or browns.
The best way is to experiment, though - try on several colours and see which makes you feel the best. What highlights your best features, what makes your eyes pop, etc. etc. :)

If you have dark skin, what makeup would look best on you?
I have to go with a more subtle and soft look because my mom doesn't like it when I use makeup. She accually doesn't even let me wear more than lip gloss and things like that.Try to give me videos if you can!!THANX!!!!!If you have dark skin, what makeup would look best on you?
Basically, dark skin needs intense colour, and is the only colouring that can easily do this. For example, if you use pastel shades you will look washed out. So go for colours that are intense and bright, but be light in your application to begin.
I suggest going for a bright lipgloss and maybe trying out a blusher? Use mascara aswell.
Talk to your mom about why she doesnt like makeup, does she think you are too young? attract male attention? Try to reach a compromise with her.If you have dark skin, what makeup would look best on you?
You can actually get away without wearing a lot of makeup when you have darker skin so your lucky! If I were you I would get a decent concelear, i usually recommend Almay Smart Shade makeup bc it blends to the color of your natural skin tone. Then I would get a bronzer that is either ur tone or one shade darker, Milani is a good and decent priced bronzer that works really well and you can find that in any cvs or walgreens. For your eyes , you can even use the bronzer on your eyes! Just a light swipe on ur whole eye with some mascara and some gloss and with dark skin you will look polished without looking like you are trying to hard!
dark colors would go well with dark skin, lyk purple eye shadow
prescriptives or bare minerals
CoverGirl Queen collection is really good. I dont know how dark you are but its made for ethnic tones so hopefully it can match you really well. It matches my skintone flawlessly
stick to natural skin tones like browns and tans
sorry i couldnt find any videos 4 u
Go with a peach colour for lipstick
then make the blush faint orange (or gold, tan etc.)
for eyeline put gold (or orange) VERY dark gold
My friend put these on to a party and she looked really good!
LOL hoped that helped! =]norton 360

I have sensitive skin, what makeup should I use?
I have very fair and sensitive skin. I rarely wear make up, but I when I do my eyes and skin get irratated.
What is the best eyeliner and eyeshadow for sensitive/fair skin?I have sensitive skin, what makeup should I use?
i wear clinique, neautrogena, and physicians formula they are all hypoallergenic dermatologist tested and great. i have fair and sensitive skin too.I have sensitive skin, what makeup should I use?
The more natural the better. I used to be prone to my face being irritated when I wore make up. Its a little more expensive, but I dont have issues with my skin since I started using naked minerals. Heres the site I order from. Hope this helps!! http://www.itvventures.com/sweetmelissa
You shouldn't wear make up if it bothers you but look for make up that is hypoallergenic.
i have very sensitive skin too. I use almay mineral makeup. I use the foundation, concealer, and the power, sometimes the eye shadow, but usually any eye shadow. make sure you was your face every night if you do wear makeup!!!!!!!! hypoallergenic
You should totally use Bare Minerals!! They are for all types of skins especially sensitive skin. It is all natural powder and it's good for your skin. You could even sleep with if you're too tired to wash it out after going out. They have concealers and eye shadows.
try tinted moisturizers, they're not as heavy as foundation and won't be as harsh to your sensitive skin. Nearly every brand has a tinted moisturizer.

What are some good skin/beauty (NOT MAKEUP) products to give a girl turning 18 for her birthday?
I'm only 12 and my sister's birthday is coming up. I want to get her a skin/beauty product but I don't know what. I'm also on a tight budget- $20 or less. Please don't say the Neutrogena Wave, she doesn't want that. What are some good skin/beauty (NOT MAKEUP) products to give a girl turning 18 for her birthday?
Go for something like body lotion , i mean go somewhere like walmart or target they sometimes have GREAT body stuff , i mean even some hand lotion or nail pollish would be good.
If you have enough get her 1 nail pollish 1 lip gloss n 1 mascaraand then a little makeup bag xxxWhat are some good skin/beauty (NOT MAKEUP) products to give a girl turning 18 for her birthday?
nice smelling facial scubs, or masks.
i love the mary kay facial line. the timewise lotions and washes are great and make my skin feel so smooth. i wish i would have dsicovered them sooner!
Give her some good moisturizer, everyone should use it. Just stay away from ones with fragrance and oil. I like the one from CLINIQUE, it is called ';Dramatically Different'; I wouldn't be without it ! You are a nice sister to be doing this research for her gift. :-)
i really like the ';burt's bees'; products, especially their ';honey lip balm'; (it's like chapstick, so NOT make-up). they've got good lotions and cool bath sets. you could get her something like that!
Anything that contains sunscreen. At 18, she still has a chance to have beautiful, unlined skin in 20 or 30 yrs. Now's the time to start if she hasn't already.
You know what? I think you should get her like a gift basket full of body and shower products. They always have that no matter what time of the year, and it's already wrapped for you and makes a great gift. Plus, I find some that are just $15!!
Inside, there's usually a whole bunch of stuff including.. body wash, lotions, shampoos and conditioners sometimes, soap bars, and lots of other cool stuff. Each basket has a ';theme'; and it will look great when you give it to her!

I want to try out a new face powder, what is the best for oily skin? Is mineral makeup any good?
I get some some small blemishes sometimes and I have some minor scaring from breakeouts when I was a teenager.I want to try out a new face powder, what is the best for oily skin? Is mineral makeup any good?
Bare Minerals is GREAT because it's so light, yet covers up oily skin, and/or blemishes. The only thing you have to be very careful with is that it's tricky to match up your skin tone; more so than a powder or MAC liquid makeup (I have noticed, anyhow. . .). If you're going to invest in a new mineral product then I would suggest going to a makeup store that will let you try samples before buying, like Sephora or something similar in your area.I want to try out a new face powder, what is the best for oily skin? Is mineral makeup any good?
Make sure that you use a product that is hypo-allergenic. If you mean mineral oil--stay away from that ingredient as it can poison your skin.
I'm glad u asked this ..I was so scared to try Bare Minerals...It was the best thing I ever did. It not only covers up my oily scared skin but my break outs have stopped. Try it what can u lose. You can always get your money back.

I would try Liquid or a mineral
I absolutely love bare minerals!! It makes your skin look smooth and soft, but not cakey... try it! You'll love it.
Not sure which MAC powder you're using.
I do not wear foundation but sometimes need heavier coverage for breakouts. I use their STUDIO FIX, but I apply (after dotting MAC Select Moisturecover concealer on spots) with a brush, b/c the sponge seems too heavy for me. I use this concealer b/c it's an easy shade match, and is oil-free, and non-comedogenic....water-based. The Studio Fix definitely gives more coverage than other MAC powders. Ask them for something lighter if you don't need this much coverage. Like I said, I apply lightly with a brush instead of the sponge.
At Ulta I've used their Studio Gear brand. It's fine-milled like MAC, priced about the same. I mostly stick w/MAC b/c of shade issues. I really like the Studio Gear, though.
I've also used Clinique Blended Face Powder. Not as much coverage as MAC, and not as many shades (I'm Casper the Friendly Ghost pale) for a close match, but good.
Mineral make up is absolutely the best. Hands down, no question. Try Bare Minerals or Arbonne, both are amazing.
MINERAL MAKEUP is the answer!
It looks natural, and makes your skin look flawless, even with scars, acne, skin discolorations, freckles, anything you want to cover invisibly. It never runs or fades or clogs your pores. You can even SWIM in it, because it's water-resistant for up to 30 minutes or so, so imagine how sweating and humidity won't make it run! Feels sheer and light, so it doesn't overheat your face! Also has a natural 15 to 30 SPF, which everyone needs to keep the sun from damaging and aging their skin.
Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals is the most famous - and the most expensive. Do a search for 'mineral makeup' on eBay - many, many brands of mineral makeup to choose from, and lots of great deals!!
I've been using the stuff for 2 years and I will NEVER go back! It's completely amazing stuff, and I wish I'd known about it years ago!
i have dark pigmentation on my face and i used to wear mary kay foundation..but it felt very cakey...and i soon discovered bare essentials and I LOVE IT....you put it on in the morning and in the evening your face still looks fresh like you just put it on....thats how good this stuff is....they sell trial sizes if you wanna start off that way....
I love arbonne's new about face mineral powder foundation; it has an SPF of 15 to protect you from the sun, covers well but looks really natural, and comes in a wide variety of shades. You can also try their intelligence personalizer under your foundation. It balances oily areas, covers redness and keeps your matte finish for hours on end! These are two of my personal favorites. I have that oily t-zone that really acts up during these humid summer months. You can shop on line at www.LiveNaturally.MyArbonne.com
Do we really want our freckles covered? I want to still look like a human not a doll.
I tried a mineral makeup and I hated it. First even though it was the lightest color it looked orange on and it was thick and cakey, like a pancake feel. Yuck!
I have tried covergirls two part makeup that has a base primer with spf. I really like it even though it is on the cheap side.
bare minerals is great
but i love even more estee lauder face maekup super sheer and light
concealer from there is fabulous also
:)

I have a hard time finding makeup that matches my skin color?
my skintone is very similar to jessica alba's and i like bare minerals. ive tried everything from fair to medium tan. and nothing matches my neck and medium tan matches my face but it looks a bit white and my neck looks golden...does anyone else have this problem?I have a hard time finding makeup that matches my skin color?
if you just go into a department store and ask one of the sales reps to chose you a good foundation, they'll match one perfectly to your skin tone!!!I have a hard time finding makeup that matches my skin color?
i have this problem , but i just use a little and put a little on my neck if my face is darker one day , and some times my face is really white so after i put on my coverup i have to put on bronzer .
find one that is a bit lighter and another that is a bit darker. Mix them together! It will all cost you about the same as if you purchase only one...Yeah it is 2 at a time but it lasts twice as long.

Whats the best makeup for my trouble skin?
I'm 25 years old and i've almost always had some acne problems. My skin is doing pretty good just now except for about 1 kinda bad break out a month. I try to use good natural foundations but it's hard to get a nice finish. Does anyone know of good products for both skin care and foundations. I'm so tired of this struggle and i feel like i've tried everything.Whats the best makeup for my trouble skin?
Hi,
I know one out of experience with my sister. She had sever acne and could not use most products on her face coz they clogged up her pores. She was introduced 6 yrs ago to the Mary Kay range of products for acne prone skin. Today she still uses the products but has switched to the range for oily skin and follows up with foundation, powder, make-up etc also from Mary Kay. This has done volumes for her confidence and self esteem not to mention she looks so much better.
I would recommend the acne range for skin care. It has a trial kit which costs 18 pounds only and comes with a money back guarantee. It includes
- A clarifying cleanser that removes excess oil, rinses clean with no residue and keeps dead skin cells from collecting in the pores
- a pore-purifying serum that helps to cleanse and dry blemishes it also prevents future breakouts.
- spot solution it targets blemishes and helps to clear them up
All three absorb quickly and leave no residue.
They also offer make up and foundations, the range is great so you don't feel limited to only five Colors etc. They guarantee that their products do not clog the pores (i can't remember the correct word for this) and my sis has proved them honest cos she can use foundation etc.
Other great thing is one company addresses all your skin care needs, I always think that way the foundation will not react with the moisturiser i got from another company.
Take a look at the site below to check out their stuff you can order from the site or give a buzz to an independent consultant on the web page.Whats the best makeup for my trouble skin?
I recommend Clean and Clear products if you haven't tried them. I especially like their Advantage Acne Spot Treatment because you apply it directly to the blemishes. For the makeup, you might try a concealer with your foundation. I really like Cover girl concealer stick to cover blemishes and L'Oreal bare naturale mineral concealer for an allover concealer. All these products have worked really good for me.
u should google Dinair Airbrush Makeup...its all water based so its not bad for ur skin. ive been using it for the past 2 years now and i LOVE it! it covers everything and makes my skin look flawless...id say check out the site and go from there...it really it the best makeup ive ever used...hope i helped...=)
If you go to a rather large store where they sell Clinique products, they can make natural mineral foundations to suit your skin type and colour. They make there right infront of you. I also reccoment WITCH products they help me.
I hope i was helpful :)
go to neutrogena.com
you can get a skincare/make-up assesment.
and they tell you exactly what to get for you problem areas.

it's free too..and the make-up is a good price.(can be found at wal-mart)
Have you tried bare escentials? It really cleared my skin up, but it took about a month to work it's magic.norton 360

Does anyone know of any makeup designed for sensitive skin?
I am currently using Covergirl's minerals makeup. It is seriously breaking me out.Does anyone know of any makeup designed for sensitive skin?
I have sensitive skin that will react to quite a few brands of makeup, but then I found physicians formula and I have had no problems since.Does anyone know of any makeup designed for sensitive skin?

Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is made from natural ingredients and makes your skin look great!
Clinique is allergy tested and I love it. I have extremely sensitive skin and sometimes can not even use dermatologist tested creams, ect. but clinique has always worked for me. It can be a little expensive but is totally worth it. Landcome Paris is also wonderful

What is the best makeup for porcelain skin blue/green eyes and dark brown hair?
As a general rule, those with blue eyes should look for eye makeup in gray, violet, taupe, purple, and deep blue. Many have found using a dark shade of blue will actually bring out the more natural blue tones in your eyes; giving you a brighter and more vibrant look.
If you are looking for an edgier or more dramatic evening look, mixing black liner with a bright blue will give you a classic “ smoky” effect. You can also throw in some silver, fuschia, or turquoise if you are going out and want a funky nighttime feel.
Those with blue eyes have the distinct advantage of being able to wear a wide array of eyeshadow colors without a lot of mishaps. Blue eyes are agreeable to many shades, however, the ones listed above are the ones proven to be among the best. What is the best makeup for porcelain skin blue/green eyes and dark brown hair?

eye shadow- pinks, purples, browns, n reds

How can I even out my skin tone without makeup?
Ok, I've had acne for about 5 years now, and it's FINALLY going away, it's almost gone, but now the problem is, my face is all red and blotchy from it. How can I even out my skin tone again without using makeup or any product that might make me break out again?!?!How can I even out my skin tone without makeup?
Try using an exfoliator, as it will help to minimize the uneven skin tone by removing the dead skin cells. Also something with calamine in it might help as calamine is used to calm down redness.
If I had to suggest one product I would suggest Catastophe Cosmetic from Lush, it is slightly exfoliating but has calamine in it and helps to even out skin tones greatly. The only unfortuate thing is that it can only be bought in store see www.lush.ca to find a store near you.
Hope I helped and good luck in evening out your skin tone. How can I even out my skin tone without makeup?
Go to the store and look at Olay skincare - fash wash products. They make a skincare line designed specifically for evening out skin tone called Olay Definity .
In studies done, Olay is the best product you can buy that is cheaper than the super expensive department store brands.
Also, exfoliate your skin - buy something that is a gentle exfolient and use it often, but be very very gentle.
Murad is good but more expensive, look at this website: http://www.murad.com/redness-products.ht鈥?/a>
You might like them, its supposed to help calm skin and soothe redness.
Eucerin also makes skincare relief from redness, you can buy it at most drug stores. I've used their stuff before and found it worked well.

Time is going to take the scars away. Drinking plenty of water always helps. Avoiding fried foods, and bad sweets is key. Now a tinted moisturizer sounds like it can work wonders for you since having a face full of make-up is not an option. Although it has color, its close to being invisible. Taking a vitamin E supplement is great. Last but certainly not least is wearing sunblock!!!! PROTECT your skin! Minimal SPF 30.. with protection from UVB and UVA.. Enjoy.
Look at DHC products, they are really good! They have so much products for exactly what you want, I would really reccomend this brand to anyone. I would try there acerola line it is meant to even out skin tones and brighten them up!
walk around a drugstore in the makeup and lotion aisles, and look for face cream. read the labels, some have features such as evening out skin tones and such.
Try a tinted moisturizer. Neutrogena makes a really nice one.

I have really green eyes, bright red hair and fair skin. Makeup tips please?
I'm basically clueless when it comes to makeup, so I'm wondering how I should do my makeup for everyday..
Green eyes. Red hair. Fair skin.
Any ideas?I have really green eyes, bright red hair and fair skin. Makeup tips please?
First, find a foundation that matches your skin tone. Find three foundations that look like they match your skin spot on. Make a thin stripe of all three colors right next to each other on your jawbone. The one that looks as if it has disappeared into your skin is your perfect (closest) match.
Green-eyed girls are lucky because they can wear any shade of eyeshadow they please. Try to find at least a three-pan, but I prefer five-pans because you have a much livelier variety of looks you can accomplish.
Take the lightest shade and sweep it over your entire eyelid, up to the brow line, and out to the outer corner of your eye. Take your middle shade and, starting from the middle of your eye, sweep this shade slightly up over the crease and out to the outer corner of your eye.
Next take your darkest shade. Starting at the halfway point between the middle shade and the outer corner of your eye, apply your darkest shadow here, again slightly over the crease of your eye. Tap off the excess shadow from your brush and blend the three colors together -- not up to your brow line, just at the crease, back and forth from corner to corner. You'll be amazed how awesome this looks.
Go with a brown mascara for daytime as black may be too harsh for your fair features to handle. Black is okay for nighttime when a bolder look is necessary.
The trick is to get people to notice your eyes, not your eye makeup. You can use a liner, if you so choose, that compliments your shadow.
Find a blush that matches your undertones -- if you have pink undertones, go with pinks; peach undertones, go with peaches, and if a gold undertone, go with neutrals. Apply your blush over your cheekbone starting from the temple downward. This will ensure that you don't get a big glob of color right in the middle of your face. You can smooth out the color with a tissue, again sweeping first up into your hairline, and then gently over your cheekbones to help pick up any excess.
Lipstick is like blush and foundation. Go with your natural undertones. Pinks, blue reds and wines for pink, neutrals and orange reds for gold, peaches for peaches. Go lighter during the day; darker, bolder colors at night.
Hope this helps!I have really green eyes, bright red hair and fair skin. Makeup tips please?
Your eyes and hair naturally complement each other, but if you want to make things pop...try a shimmery purple eye shadow with gold undertones...check out mac.
good eyeshadow colors for you are pale pink, light to medium pinkish-brown and medium purple shades. light pink and peachey shades are good for your lips.
My friend has a look thats similar to that...she has naturally red hair and fair and freckled skin, so she usually chooses earth tones or something thats not too bright, and she doesn't overdo it...mascara and eyeliner, a light colored lip gloss is good, and earth tone eye shadow too.
deep browns and light greens for shadow, blend well with a q-tip
black-brown mascara.
brown liner.
light pink blush.
clear lipgloss
that should be nice :]
You're probably eye catching even without makeup, with those assets!
Typically, especially with your coloring, less is more. I have similar skin, eye, and hair color. I go with eyeliner, mascara, a little blush, and lipstick. Foundation if its not melting hot outside.
A spring green eyeshadow and a red lipstick is great.
light color eyeshadow like light pink or green and mascara blush
if I was you I would stay away from make-up because with the green eyes and red hair then adding make up will make you look like a clown I'm not trying to hurt your feeling either
Here is a great site for you.

WOW THATS REALLY PRETTY!!!! PEOPLE WIT RED HAIR SHOULD NEVER EVER EVER DYE IT!!!! AND GREEN EYES R LIKE MY FAV. COLOR EYES!!!!!!!! anyways go with some bright colors like pink, purple, blue...pastels...but not where u look like a clown....that would be wayy cute girl!!!! hope that helps!!!
you sound exactly like me! fortunately being a redhead with green eyes means endless possibilities. i use bare minerals every day, and i will not ever go back to normal makeup again. With BM i can use almost any color.... and get away with it. I use to colors most of the time. My main eye shadow is summer. it is a light brown that is really shimmery. the blending color i use for the top part of my eye is sunshine. My eyeliner I alternate between black, dark brown, and purple. Alll of my eye pencils are Mary Kay. my mascara is cover girl. i know that it is kind of expensive but you really cant go wrong with any color in BM. Plus it helps if your mom worked for Estee Lauder for years! My mom knows a bajillion and one makeup tricks. The trick to the eyes is to cover it all the way to the eyebrow and the way to do that is to blend your colors. use something that is a little darker and looks good with your eye on just the lid. then take a lighter shimmer color and start where you left off wth the first color. take that all the way to the end of the eye then keep going above that line and above that line until you have reached the eyebrow. flip your eye brush over and blend over the entire eye with it. it will lighten the lid color as well as blend the two easily. I can pull off an emerald green or a grape or a bright blue with that trick. the eye liner. start on your bottom lid and follow from jsut past your tear duct to the end of the eye. make a little tick mark in the corner of the eye, it will help hide the crows feet a little better as well as make your eye look bigger. then do the same to your top lid. with mascara, an easy way to make your eye lashes look lots bigger is to put on a white primer coat of mascara, then immediately follow with your black or brown mascara. if you use black mascara use brown eye pencil because it makes the black look less harsh. hope this helps
Here are some really good links that I have used for tips on make-up and skin tone. Good luck =)

for your fair skin and red hair a shimmery brown should do it. but before u wear it out check the color of brown with your eyes to make sure the shade of brown and your shade of green eyes dont clash.
Green eyes. Red hair.
Here is a great site for you.

you sound exactly like me! fortunately being a redhead with green eyes means endless possibilities. i use bare minerals every day, and i will not ever go back to normal makeup again. What is the best cheap makeup product for oily skin?
I've been wearing Dream Matte Mousse and it's good for a few hours but my skin gets shiny because my skin is oily. It's my first time wearing makeup and Maybelline has good shades.
Anyway, does anyone know what is the best cheap makeup product for oily skin??? I would try Bare Essentuals if I was rich! :)What is the best cheap makeup product for oily skin?
L'oreal, Bobby Brown and Mac is nice and you could buy products for oily skin. But if you want additional choices here's more:
4VOO silk-enriched shine reduction powder is a premium translucent enhancement product specifically developed to eliminate undesirable shine caused by oily skin surfaces. this ultra-sheer powder leaves the skin smooth and refined. pure silk allows this powder to blend easily with all skin tones for a clean, natural finish. silk, chamomile, and grape seed extract have natural sun protection and anti-inflammation properties that effectively help sun damaged skin, acne, and other skin problems.
here's the site: http://www.4voo.com/powder.htm
Clinique Clarifying Powder Makeup
This sheer, buildable oil-free cover helps keep skin clear by controlling oily build-up for up to 8 hours. Creates a more even skin tone that looks-and stays-fresh, clean. Natural matte finish.
or just use Natural Powder Facial Blotting Tissues everytime your face is oily %26gt;%26gt; http://www.thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/brow鈥?/a>
additional tips for you:
Makeup for Oily Skin - There are some things that need to be avoided and some that you should look for in makeup designed for oily skin. There are certain makeup companies that are known for their work in designing products for specific skin types. You need to find one that suit your needs and has a reputation for excellent care and products.
You will also want to:
Try -
Find foundations that contain titanium dioxide, a naturally occurring sun protector.
Buy makeup containing serecite to reduce the appearance of pores and help absorb oil.
Kaolin clay added in foundation will help oil control.
Zinc oxide used in makeup will act as an anti-inflammatory for your skin.
Avoid -
Avoid products containing oil from petroleum. This includes mineral oil. Use oil-free makeup or makeup that is designed to benefit oily skin.
Avoid makeup that contains alcohol. Alcohol will strip the skin of oil, which may cause the body to produce even more.
Look for ingredients such as bismuth oxychloride and dimenthicone. Both will clog your pores and cause blemishes. These are commonly found in foundation and other powder based products.
How about some good news? Oily skin keeps the skin looking younger. Over the years, people with oily skin tend to wrinkle less than people with dry or normal skin.

Good luck! ^_^What is the best cheap makeup product for oily skin?
Almay is good for oily skin. If you still want to stay with mayballine though try there new loose power. Mineral power. Its good and doesn't come off if your skin gets oily.
bare minerals is messy, cakey and gets oily. you can try clinique, bobbi brown. as a makeup artist, i use l'oreal a lot because it has good coverage (true match) but its not for oily skin. just read the label before you get it, make sure its for oily skin
I have really oily skin too and started wearing mineral makeup. It's awesome. You can find some stuff on eBay a lot cheaper then the name brand stuff! It's just as good if not better. And it is sooooo much easier to put on.
It doesn't feel all itchy later in the day ether.
try lacto calamine
Urban decay's Eye primer potion is the BEST primer! Just a couple dabs on your eyelid and blend all around up to your brow bone. Let it dry a couple mins then apply shadow. This should hel your liner stay on better too.
You shouldn't wear cheap make up, it'll just make your skin even oiler and won't help your oil problem.
Your better off getting a oil free foundation that yes is more expensive but will last longer and be better for your skin.
It's in your pantry .....cornstarch!
neutragena is amazing
orrrr
clean %26amp; clear
they both work pretty well, and are good if you're on a budget!
If i was you I would use revlon colourstay make up because its oil free so it isnt adding any more oil to your skin, also try using a oil-free moisturiser it will still moisturise your skin but wont add any extra oil at the same time.
Revlon colourstay is about 拢12 but its worth it. add powder so that it sets your foundation.
nivea visage young or any other tinted moisturiser are the best for your skin and are oil free. covergirl products are inexpensive and great on your skin, i have oily skin too and i use trublend foundation with some trublend loose powder on top, or if you dont need a really full coverage then just wear the powder, its really good for oily skin and covers blemishes and dark circles.
hope that helps !
uh . . . you do realize you're a guy right? it's in my humble opinion that makeup should be left to the women . . . and the plastic male stars in hollywood. but seeing how your name is cosmoguy, i imagine the other team has you at bat . . . if you catch my drift. so, i don't have any advice. just felt like rambling.
