Especially foundations? Most of what I see in the stores have a pink tint, whereas Asians are a bit more yellow...What is a good brand of makeup for Asian skin?
Agree with the other posters about Shiseido. It was up and running in Japan over 100 years ago before many of the Western cosmetics companies were in business. Always a good starting place.
Try the Zhen beauty website too. It specializes in cosmetics for Asian skin and other women of color.
However, almost any good cosmetic line, department store or even drugstore (L'Oreal, for one) carries foundations with neutral shades, usually called buff, porcelain, true beige, that have a yellow undertone. Look for the so-called ';warm'; colors on the charts and avoid the ';cool'; since they will have the pinkish undertones. What is a good brand of makeup for Asian skin?
i'm filipino and i use bare minerals. it works really well.
You may want to investigate Shu Uemura and Shiseido cosmetics, both of which are Japanese cosmetic companies. I really like Shu most of all and I am half Chinese and half Dutch, so my skin tone is often tough to match.
http://www.shuuemura-usa.com/ will tell you where you can locate authorized Shu Uemura retailers in your state. Once you find a store, the specialists there can help you match your skin tone. Their cosmetics are a little pricey, but I feel the price is worth it.
LOL, i'm asian too and basically benefit does the trick, they sell it at some shopper's drug mart noww! but that's in canada so ya...hope you find the make up you need!

Ciao*
You should be using the ones that are made in Asia. Like how Shiseido is made in Japan. You shouldn`t use Lancome and Chanel on your skin (but mascaras, lipglosses, etc. are okay) because they are for European skin since they are made in France.
