High end and drugstore? I need makeup that is going to last in the heat and through my oily skin. Thank you :DWhat is the best summer makeup for oily skin?
smashboxWhat is the best summer makeup for oily skin?
I have the same problem
Moisturize every nigh before going to bed
Drink a lot of water
Before applying makeup or anything else apply Medi Matte and let sink in for about 30 minutes then apply makeup, use as a primer, it helps prevent oil skin for about 4-8 hours, also you can experiment and buy antiperspirant gel deodorant and mix it with liquid or powder foundation, and apply to the face, see how it feel and smells and especially apply it around the edges of the face where one normally sweats
High End:
What I use is the Murad Oil Controlling Mattifier before I put on my makeup (it is similar to the Medi Matte that the first person mentioned). It controls shine for 8 hours and it has willow bark to fight acne. It is $40 but is so worth it. Since it controls oil, you'll expect it to feel tight, but it doesn't. It just feels like a regular, moisturizer.
Also, you can try Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet. Now, this one, I have not tried for myself. However, you can look at reviews on youtube. A lot of people on youtube have stated that this foundation is awesome, and you only need a little bit to cover. Also, it is a mattifying liquid foundation (which is amazing), controls oil, is oil-free and non-comedogenic (does not clog pores), and is waterproof. I want to try it, but I am lacking funds. :_(
i'm just going to add to what ';slowe'; said..i just discovered avon's mineral makeup and i'm seriously in LOVE with it and would recommend it to anyone...i have extremely oily skin (not to mention, i seem to sweat when the temperature goes about 40 lol) with pretty large pores....but avon's ideal shade makes my skin look flawless and natural, without any shine...which is what i usually get from cream/liquid foundations....this was my first try at powder foundation and i hate that i didn't try it sooner....(the only thing is, if you have deep under eye circles, you will need to wear concealer since it doesn't cover those well-at all) covergirl is also extremely good...i love their aquasmoothers.....it didn't leave my skin an oil slick and it felt light on my skin....%26amp; as for maybelline; i tried the mousse foundation and it doesn't cover well enough for me-my pores look even bigger. but i am going to give it one more shot, this time with a primer, since i liked how it felt-extremely airy...and in my opinion(this is just a personal opinion, something i noticed about my own skin) the lighter foundation feels on your skin, the less likely it is to leave your face looking greasy or leave you with your makeup melting off your face...
and on top of that, i put an egg white mask on my face two-three times a week....you can do it as much as you choose, though....you just beat the egg white until it's fluffy and then leave it on 15-20 minutes....rinse off with room temperature/cool water...and once a week i put on a honey mask. just take some honey out of the bottle and smear it on your face lol....again, you leave it on 15-20 minutes....or you can mix the egg white, olive oil, and honey all together...it's up to you...and i also use vinegar as a natural astringent...you don't want to completely dry out the oil (that creates more oil), just naturally control it... :)
well its gona be hard to keep any makeup on if you live in a hot place like i do (texas), but i have a few suggestions.... i sell avon....

try nuetrogena sheer mineral power foundation
(honestly, just about any powder foundation will work for oily skin, and moisturizer might make it worse, unless its oil-free but just be cautious of what your skin is used to so you won't break out)
maybelline pure makeup is pretty good for the summer.
